About Irina Zhorov
Irina Zhorov is a novelist and award-winning reporter. Her first book, Lost Believers, was published by Scribner. She's been covering environmental issues for more than a decade, has worked at NPR member stations in Wyoming, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia, and filed stories from Puerto Rico, Russia, and Mexico. She currently serves as the editor for the show Inside Appalachia. Zhorov was born in the Soviet Union, grew up in Philadelphia, and now makes her home in the mountains of North Carolina.
