In this course we will explore digital and visual rhetoric through the theme of "rhetoric in society" exploring the ways in which language and communication, in all its forms, influence the ways in which societies operate, persist, and transform. Students in this course will deepen their understanding of rhetorical theory through presentations and an independent research project as well as exploring how to teach rhetoric and writing to diverse audiences. Our course will draw on a variety of sources including course readings, podcast, documentaries, fine art, and illustrated nonfiction.
