ENG 5535: Electronic Literature and Digital Writing (Dr. Flores - Summer 1)

How do digital media technologies shape writing and literature? What happens when writers engage the artistic potential of digital media to produce literary works?

This course explores the electronic literature tradition, from its artistic and literary antecedents in the print world to the new genres of digital writing that emerged since the advent of the digital computer. Curious about electronic literature?  You can visit the course blog to see how I taught it in Summer 2022 and/or check out my TEDx Talk from 2015.

This course will be offered online (mostly synchronously) in the 1st Summer Session M-F from 2-5 pm. It will count as an American literature course, though it will draw from work  from around the world. Taught with ❤️ by Leonardo Flores.
