Course Description
This course examines the first principle of ethics: do no harm. But what does that look like in language? Students will be introduced to the foundations of rhetoric(s), including the impacts and power of language. Units include: rhetorics and violence, rhetorics and crisis, rhetorics and peace. Particularly useful for rhetoric and technical writing students and other English majors interested in the power and materiality of language.
