This course asks how we can use writing to advocate for the safety, equality, & flourishing of other humans. By studying the rhetoric of past and present social movements we will discover the strategies and genres that spark - and sustain - important debates and concrete change. You will gain experience with genres of advocacy writing like Grants and Social Impact Statements.
