Step into the art of world building and the fantastic! This workshop is an amazing opportunity for writers to design immersive, original worlds that feel as vivid and complex as our own—from mythic realms and speculative futures to quiet corners of everyday contemporary magic. Through focused writing exercises, close readings, and collaborative workshops, students will explore how to shape story, character, and theme utilizing resources from the world around us. We’ll study techniques used by celebrated authors while developing our own voices and visions.
