This senior seminar in creative writing focuses on screenwriting for mystery and crime limited series, emphasizing narrative structure, character development, and visual storytelling. No prior screenwriting experience is required. Students will learn foundational screenplay techniques alongside advanced creative strategies as they watch and analyze exemplary limited series to study mood, pacing, and investigative storytelling. Through workshops and peer feedback, participants will develop original scripts, culminating in a fully realized pilot episode for a mystery or crime limited series.
