Description:
This class will consider mythic stories in various tellings across time and space. Possible topicds include Oedipus from Sophocles to Pasolini, via Freud; Cinderella from China to Italy, France, Germany, and England, and then Chinatown in New York City; the Irish Deirdre from the Iron Age to the Irish Renaissance; the Mahabharata on the page, on the stage, and on the screen.
