This course is an intensive creative writing workshop designed to build upon the requisite craft elements of writing short fiction—observation, plot, setting, characterization, surprise, economy, point of view, and so on. You may write stories set anywhere, during any time period, but your work should show engagement with the aforementioned craft elements. Most of all, you should take risks and have fun on the page!
