Religious belief—for good and bad—has been a powerful force throughout human history. In this course we will examine the intersections of literature and faith with a focus on works that seek to both impart wisdom and explore what it means to be alive. Join us as we read and discuss writers like Shūsaku Endō, Marilynne Robinson, James Baldwin, Alice Walker, and Fyodor Dostoevsky.
