This class is divided into three sections. In the first, we'll look at how comics are written and drawn, and discuss how creators use comics form to tell stories and move readers. Our second section will be a deep dive into the genre most closely associated with American comics, the superhero narrative. And finally, we'll look at the underground, alternative, and self-produced comics and zines made possible by new types of production and distribution.
