ENG 2180: Comic Books & Graphic Novels

Comic Books & Graphic Novels is a course designed to challenge the way we approach literature and expand our understanding of literary value and thinking. This course will delve into a variety of graphic narratives, ranging from the typical comic, adaptations of novels to graphic texts, and even manga, to consider common literary themes and the human experience through this ever growing genre. The course will also consider the long history of visual storytelling and consider its interactions with and differences from traditional prose.
