ENG 2060: Great Books

ENG 2060: Great Books will be taught by Dr. Ivory this Fall 2021 semester. It will have two sections: 101 will meet from 12:00 - 12:50 PM on MWF, and 102 will meet from 1:00 - 1:50 PM MWF, both in Sanford Hall 306. This class will be "an exploration of great books and literary canons through a variety of texts and genres."

From Dr. Ivory,

GREAT BOOKS, interested, are you?! The true Force is the power of the book and reading you will find. Wisdom it is that measures the jedi. Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force of the book and reading, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force of the book and reading around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship. Lesson you shall heed my young book warriors.
