ENG 2030-410: Honors World Literature to 1650

ENG 2030-410: Honors World Literature to 1650 will be taught by Dr. Anna Muenchrath during the Fall 2021 semester. It will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 10:50 for discussions of literary beginnings and perspectives.

"In this course, we’ll read world literature written before 1650 in order to investigate, through unique and differing perspectives, shared themes such as questions of creation and origins, sex, ideas of change and metamorphosis, travel and immigration, and the figure of the storyteller. We’ll ask: How do these concepts and their articulation in literature change or remain the same over time and across space? And, how are local and global themes and forms incorporated into literature as books and ideas circulate?"
