Congratulations to Craig Fischer on his talk last Thursday at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum on cartoons and McCarthyism! Tom McGowan reports that Craig "did a bang up job," both with the talk and slides and with the lively Q&A session. His knowledge and skill as a teacher really showed. I want to echo Tom, "The English Dept. and Appalachian are lucky to have him," and "It's good the University shares its talents with the community in these kinds of events."
