Ruth Ann Marotta

Ruth Ann Marotta is a lecturer for the English Department. She holds degrees and certifications in psychology, teaching English on multiple levels, teaching English as a second language, and creative writing (poetry). She has co-published several articles on breastfeeding education, intimate partner violence, and smoking cessation in Appalachian mothers. She has also published articles on craftsmanship in Appalachia and using song lyrics and memories to expand the grammar and vocabulary of ESL students. On a perfect day, Ruth Ann can be found gardening, walking her dog, playing games with or Facetiming her children, and singing or writing a new song. 

Spring 2020 office hours are M/W 10:50-1:50 and by appointment.
